Welcome to the CPD Centre website

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a continuous process of personal growth, to improve the capability and realise the full potential of professional people at work. This can be achieved by obtaining and developing a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience, which are not normally acquired during initial training or routine work, and which together develop and maintain competence to practice.

There are many changes occurring in the practice of pharmacy and our aim is to help pharmacists to meet these changes by providing continuing professional development. Pharmacists should have to undertake CPD throughout their career which includes the ongoing attainment and improvement of pharmaceutical, clinical, and personal skills.

The CPD Centre was established in 2005 by the Sudanese Pharmacists Union to oversee the provision of continuing education and continuing professional development opportunities for all pharmacists in Sudan. The centre believes it has a duty to ensure the highest standards of performance in pharmacy practice. CPD creates an ethos in which competence and professional behaviour is expected from its members.

The centre recommends that all members undertake CPD in accordance with the current advice and guidance.

If you are a registered Sudanese Pharmacist please read the information under the headings "About CPD" and "Implementation" and then go to the members area and login with your username and password.
