| Implementing Pharmacy CPD in Sudan |

In future all registered pharmacist will
be expected to undertake Continuous Professional Development
(CPD). In the course of 2006 all registered pharmacists will
be sent a CPD Portfolio Folder and they will also receive a
username and password for the member’s area of the CPD
website. This will give pharmacists the choice of recording
their CPD activities on paper, in the Portfolio Folder or online
on the CPD website.
Recommended CPD activities can be found in the member’s
area of the web site and also in the paper-based portfolio folder.
The activities include recommended CPD articles, Computer Aided
Learning (CAL) packages, online learning and seminars, workshops
and training days.

| Activities approved by the Centre for Continuing
Professional Development will be allocated credit ratings and credits
will be awarded to pharmacists on completion of activities. Further
details of the operation of this system will be posted here at later
stage. |
